This game is an interesting one to review, given the conversation around it. As someone who played it two years after release, here are my thoughts on what the game is like in its current state, without any hype or rage attached to it. In short: I was pleasantly surprised. Like, a lot.
A week ago I was diagnosed with a terminal illnes and the doctors have given me a year at best. I'm so glad I was able to play this masterpiece before I go. I don't know how many people will see this; but I recomend to you to buy this game if you do see it. Gameplay, atmosphere, bosses, ost... everything is masterfully crafted. Thank you CD Projekt RED for your game.
You can't blame them, they did release the game 57 years early.
I've had my eye on Cyberpunk since it was released but I pretty much never pre-order or buy a game when it's just released as it's usually riddled with with bugs. I've seen this go on sale several times over the years a the last time it was on sale I thought "Why not, it's been out a while now so the bugs must be fixed" unfortunately I was wrong. I've seen several glitches, cars vanishing, npcs driving through people etc all I can live with but now I've got close to the end of the story I've hit 2 bugs. The first in a mission where I have to pick something up, the NPC just looks at me and I end up having to reload. Tried several times and get the same result so I gave up on that,
Pretty good it’s strong and is a fun game
Step 1: Promise a deep, realistic RPG based on a franchise known for being a deep, realistic RPG.
Step 2: Deliver a janky, open-world shooter where your choices make barely any impact on the story and world.
Step 3: Fix some bugs.
Step 4: Get another company to make a Netflix show for you.
Step 5: Labour of Love
